Do you enjoy watching TEDtalk videos? Would you like to attend a live event, about pain research, with a similar format? You’re in luck! PAINtalks is coming to Montreal in November! It’s being organized by the Québec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI), and I’ve agreed to help them publicize the event.
PAINtalks a great opportunity to hear about the “latest advances on pain, simply explained by the experts”(1). What I love about this event is that “speakers are made up of QNJPI students, recognized researchers in the field of pain, as well as patients suffering from chronic pain”. Because we all know that pain patients are the experts, in their own experiences of these conditions.
The event will be bilingual (English and French), with a live-translation service. The master of ceremonies will be an award-winning local actor, Stéphane Crête, and the event will conclude with a cocktail period.
PAINtalks 2019 is free, and open to all; chronic pain patients (and their loved ones or caregivers) are welcome to attend, along with clinicians, students, and researchers specializing in pain prevention and treatment.
That said, registration is required; click on the link below to reserve your spot, on their FourWaves website:
