Word ladder solution 21.01.18

Last month I posted a word ladder puzzle that I’d created, in case you were looking for something different to do over the winter holidays.

If you haven’t taken a stab at my puzzle yet, click here to try it before you view the solution that that I’ve posted at the end of this post!

Creating this puzzle was a challenge I’d given to myself for last year; to make the same kind of puzzle that Lewis Carroll invented in 1877. It’s called a Word Ladder puzzle.

I usually make word-search puzzles, using a pencil and paper, so this one was something new for me. If you’d like me to create and post more of this type of little game, let me know by sending me a message over on Instagram or Twitter.

As promised before the holidays, here’s the solution. As you’ll see, the resulting word is “regional”. Why did I select this word, as the solution to my first-ever Word Ladder puzzle?

Because I’ve been living with a rare disease, named Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), since 2016. I’ve been kicking around ideas to raise awareness of CRPS, and of pain conditions in general, and thought a word puzzle might be a fun way to do this ‘-)

I hope you had a lovely holiday season, whatever you celebrate. And I wish you and your loved ones all the best for 2018 and beyond…
As always, thanks so much for stopping by the blog!
